Welcome to the Snarry Games!
Fortune Favors the Bold: Team CAULDRON vs. Team SNITCH!
Authors AND Artists together for the first time!
Once Genres have been chosen, our Team Members will venture further than they ever have before. Why? Because then they get to choose from Prompts!
The possibilities are endless and we are very excited about the vast creativity that our writers will produce. A series of prompts will finish off the judging criteria, which will be voted upon based on:
How well did the author/artist use their Genre(s)? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
How Well did the author/artist use their Prompt(s)? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
How much did you like this story/art overall? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
Team size, challenge length, and posting due dates *TBA*, based on participation levels.
Genre/Prompt list to be revealed after teams have been assembled.
The entries will be posted randomly, Team VS. Team, daily.
Once sign-ups are finished, the teams will assemble at their respective communities, to plan their battle strategies and support each other as teammates. This support can come in the form of cheerleading, beta help, and the collective support needed to win the GOLD MEDAL OF SNARRY!
Each team should have at least three to five alternates/pinch hitters.
The teams can also use these private comms to enlist the support of and ask anything required of our most excellent mod team with all things Games related.
Teams will be given a set of prompts, and once chosen, along with their Genres, the starting gun fires, and the games begin!
The stories will be a minimum of 2000 words, and they will each be voted upon by the readers/fans on a scale of 1 to 10 for content, style, and overall performance.
Art has no size requirements.
This challenge involves teamwork. Please join in the fun, and support your Snarry writers and artists for the generous sharing of their talents.

Each entry will be posted against one from other team, and will be judged in the following manner:
Scored from 1 to 9 according to these three criteria:
How well did the author/artist use their Genres? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
HOw Well did the author/artist use their Prompts? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
How much did you like this story/art overall? 1 to 9 (1 being the least)
At the end of our Games, the final cumulative team totals tally will determine our Team winners!
Team members and community moderators CANNOT vote during this process.
Community rules:
Once themes are issued and assigned, both teams will have the same deadline dates, and posting will commence after then with a post per day per team until all the stories are in.
Deadline extensions are negotiable, but with no communication, alternates will be activated at the deadline date, or sooner.
If you dropped out without notice, or did not submit your entry to a previous Games, you will not be eligible to play again, except with special permission from the maintainer,![[personal profile]](http://s.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)

Teams/authors/artists may post or pimp their own stories/art wherever, but while the Games are on, they need to directly link to this community to enable the polling voting process for their teams's numbers. To fail to do so will threaten their team's chances of success!
It is recommended that you lean on your team for help with betas and technical issues/format if you need it. Again, it strengthens your team's chances of the Gold Medal of Snarry!

As canon has come to close many fandomers are wondering what will become of HP Fanfiction - and fans of the SS Snarry are in an unenviable position as a result. Or are they?
This year, we are turning HP Fanfiction on its ear, and we are opening up the field with more choices and more creativity than ever before. Gone are the Romance and Angst and Humour and Wartime and Postwar Genres. Remember this: FORTUNE FAVORS THE BOLD!
This year, our Team Members can choose from the following groundbreaking Genres:
1. Gender Bender and/or Crossdressing
2. Fandom Crossovers and/or Fusions
3. Time Travel
4. Literary and/or Historical
5. Alive & Kicking (or Snape EWE)
6. Mentor and/or Severitus
